A Little Ben?

Grandma Fran and Ben think Ryder looks exactly like Ben.  What do you think?
Ben on top, Ryder on bottom.

Michelin Man Arms and A Double Chin

At our 1 month check up, Ryder hadn't gained any weight:(  Apparently, mom and baby's efforts at nursing around the clock weren't providing enough milk for the little one.  Our pediatrician put us on a new feeding plan: nursing for 30 minutes, 2-3 ounces of breastmilk from a bottle, and then an unlimited amount of formula.  This plan (though a bit time consuming and a 2-person job) worked immediately! We returned to the dr 3 days later and Ryder had gained 9 ounces!

We can't wait to see what he weighs at his 2 month check up! If his chubby little cheeks are any indication it is a lot!

Life Sure Has Changed

Since adding Ryder to our little in family in January, our lives have changed.  For one, we often put on the Raffi station on Pandora for little man to listen to as he does tummy time.  Sometimes we forget to turn it off and spend the entire day listening to children's music. Ben and I both know ever word to "Shake Your Sillies Out, Wiggle Your Waggles Away."

I Feel The Same Way....

After a particularly intense tummy time session, Ryder fell asleep right in his gym. I have to admit I have often wanted to curl up on the weight lifting bench and take a little snooze myself.

The Tongue is an Amazing Thing!
