Love Letters to Baby Karger

A very sweet thing that we did was put a label with the baby's email address on the back of the card announcing his impending arrival!  baby.karger@gmail.com   got some very sweet responses! Here are some tidbits below:

Greetings and Salutations Baby Karger!  I am speaking on behalf of my family; The Bekins.  We can't wait to meet you :)  We were just made aware today that you will be joining us in this very wonderful life.  Your parents are very special people to my family.  The best thing about your parents is the absolute LOVE they share and the fact they made YOU!  

Eat much, play freely and enjoy the "home" mom provides for you over the next few months.  Soon you will be here and we will have lots of fun together.

Baby Does Black Tie

Our friends Becky and Eric got married! I imagined baby Karger wearing nothing but a bow tie and diaper!

Little Butt Cheeks and Boy Parts

Our 20 week anatomy scan confirmed (beyond the shadow of a doubt) that baby Karger is a boy! We also saw him empty his bladder, stick out his tongue, hid under the placenta, and generally make the techs job of looking at him difficult. Already a stinker!

Father's Day Weekend in Michigan

After sharing our BIG news, we settled in for a weekend of fun, including the Spring Lake Heritage Festival 5K, beach time, and a Father's Day lunch on the beach.

Letting the Cat out of the Bag (Finally)

We were literally bursting at the seams to tell our friends and family! Keeping this a secret was such a challenge (especially for me).  Ben and I invited Fran and Ed to fly home with us for Father's Day so we could tell all the parents together.  We gave them the baby card and a t-shirt that said "12.29.12" and their new name (Grandma Jayne and Fran, Grandpa Dan and Ed).

Pink or Blue?

1st NYU Ultrasound Scan (16 weeks)

We were absolutely amazed at the technology at NYU when we went for our 16 week anatomy scan! We got to see all of baby Karger on the big screen. How amazing!

Baby Karger's First Photo

The first photo of baby Karger ever taken!  We were beyond thrilled to not only see him for the 1st time but also listen to his little heartbeat (also very happy that there was only one heartbeat)!

We were so excited to share our news with everyone!!!
